Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated every year on November 26th to honour the adoption of the Indian Constitution. On 27th November 2024 Constitution Day- 2024 program was jointly organized by History Department and Saptdhara, Dharmendrasinghji Arts College-Rajkot. This day is a reminder of the historic moment when the Constitution of India was adopted in 1949, coming into force on January 26, 1950. The celebration at DH College aimed to promote awareness about the significance of the Indian Constitution, its principles, and its role in shaping the democratic framework of the nation. Objectives of the Celebration were Educate students and staff about the Constitution of India and its core values. Foster a sense of national pride and respect for the rule of law among students. Encourage discussions on the rights and duties of citizens as defined by the Constitution. Inspire active participation in upholding democratic values and social justice in the society. The HOD of History Department Dr. Punjani conducted an active session with the students by discussing about the Importance of Constitution. Dr. Dharmesh Parmar gave an informative speech about the Constitution Day. The entire program planned by History Department and Saptdhara. The Program managed by Dr. Dharmesh Parmar, Dr. Maheshwari Raviya and Dr. Hansa Gujariya. The entire Department was active in making the program a success.
