National Geographic Day is celebrated every year on 27 January to commemorate the founding of the National Geographic Society, one of the most renowned organizations in the fields of science, research and environmental conservation. The day commemorates the invaluable contribution of society in understanding the Earth, nature and humanity, while inspiring individuals to take an active part in the conservation of our planet. On the occasion of National Geographic Day 2025, let us explore the history, achievements and significance of the National Geographic Society along with its unwavering commitment to education, research and environmental awareness. Today, ‘National Geographic Day’ was celebrated in the Geography Department of the college. In the celebration of this program, the Head of the Department, Dr. S. R. Bhardwaj, gave a guide about the program and National Geographic Day. Which was very interesting. At the beginning of the program, Prof. R. P. Patel from the Geography Department of this college gave a basic understanding of the program by giving the background of the program. It was informative.
