The English Department arranged a bridge course for first year students from 24/6/2022 to 23/7/22. On 23/07/2022 the evaluation test was conducted to evaluate the teaching-learning outcomes of the freshers. The bridge course was intended to understand the understanding level of newcomers to teach English Language. The content of the course was based on the preliminary topics of English grammar. The last session of the bridge course was very essential to help the faculties to recognise the fast learners and the slow learners. English is the compulsory subject from Sem-1 to Sem-6 in B.A. Hence this course was beneficial to all the subjects students. Overall the Course was implemented as per its schedule and the assessment became a more useful means to evaluate and mentor the students for their further progress. Students not only attended the lectures but also visited various sections of the college campus with a view to becoming familiar with all the facilities in and around the college building. On 23/07/22 the Bridge Course Test was conducted on Basic English Grammar. This helped the English Faculties to distinguish the bright and poor pupils in English Language. Several students got full marks in the test paper. This is the success of the bridge course. While many got average marks in their performance.
